Earth Day: Re-opening, re-rooting, revaluing

Happy Earth Day!

Back in December, I moved everything behind the Patreon curtain. This move was the only way I could figure to protect whatever bottom line I thought I had… Turns out, I had been calculating everything incorrectly for four years and paying myself, the sole employee, $0/hour.

I’ve spent the months since rebuilding from the inside out: revamping my pricing model, taking inventory of where my supplies come from, and figuring out how to actually pay myself for the labor that goes into each piece.

I’m reopening the public side of the website, today, on Earth Day. Because if there’s ever been a time to grow something with deeper roots and better boundaries, it’s now. Below are the products from one of the current collections, but everything else - bags, leashes, customs, etc - is absolutely available now.

And yes, the tariffs are still wild. I’m not even factoring them into my pricing yet because, to be honest, I’m having the worst time keeping track of what they’ll be. I feared a singular number, not this back-and-forth batshit crazy trade war. But let’s just say, reopening in spite of them feels like an act of protest and persistence in its own right.

Thank you for sticking around, for clicking images when I didn’t have product pages open, for waiting while I rebuilt. Stay tuned for a belated four-year-anniversary discount! I missed it in March, but it’s coming!
