Seeing the horrific bills being passed all over the country, where strangers and friends are all deeply affected, my heart was reduced to pulp through most of the spring. Normally, this time of the year is when seasonal depression starts to lift, light comes back, and my favorite flowers emerge from the soil, but this year, helplessness ran rampant.
